FCAWA partners with a number of “‘Super Hero’ organisations who offer special discounts for the exclusive benefit of FCAWA’s Members in recognition of the wonderful job they do in supporting Western Australia’s most vulnerable children.

All members of our Association are issued with an FCAWA Identification Card upon joining that is valid for 12 months. New cards are mailed out to members at the end of each calendar year.

In order to take advantage of the discounts listed, members will need to present their FCAWA Membership Card along with photo identification (drivers license, working with children check, etc).

Albany's Historic Whaling Station

Amaze Miniature Park

Amaze Miniature Park, formerly known as Abingdon Miniature Village, is a unique family friendly attraction that is well worth a visit. Castledare Miniature Railway has been operating on the banks of the Canning River since 1963. The railway is generally open to the public on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month in addition to Wednesdays of school holidays. Rides are approx. 10-15 minutes in duration and suitable for both adults and children alike.

Dolphin Discovery Centre

Bunbury's Dolphin Discovery Centre is just 90 minutes south of Perth. Located on beautiful Koombana Bay we are a not for profit organisation that fund our Research, Conservation and Education Programs via Tourism. Koombana Bay is home to many wild Bottlenose Dolphins that often come for a visit to our beach. As they are wild, we cannot guarantee their visit, but we can guarantee to see them on our Eco or Swim Tours. Bookings are essential.

The Dolphin Discovery Centre’s Dolphin Eco Cruise is for 90 minutes within Koombana Bay. Our vessel provides an excellent viewing platform designed to get you as close as possible to the dolphins – without getting your feet wet! The team will introduce you to our local Bottlenose Dolphins as they interact in their natural environment. Many of the Dolphins seen on the cruise call Koombana Bay their home. They can be seen frolicking, playing, sleeping and feeding during the cruise. The informative commentary from the skipper will keep you updated throughout.

An award-winning tour guaranteed to thrill! Join us for an intimate swim with wild dolphins in their natural environment. Our most popular and exhilarating tour, you will be accompanied by our experienced guide and trained volunteers as you venture into the beautiful open waters of Koombana Bay.

The Gravity Discovery Centre and Observatory

Gravity Etc

Jump in for some energetic “off the tech, off the couch” family time at Gravity Etc (Extreme Trampoline Centre), a 2200sqm award winning trampoline centre located in Dalyellup (5 minutes south of Bunbury).

With six different activity zones, awesome interactive fun and games, an air conditioned mezzanine viewing level, café, seating, parent retreat with free wi-fi and a free enclosed basic soft play area for kids under three years, Gravity Etc is the place to be. We know it’s expensive raising kids, so we’ve come up with three exclusive discounts for FCAWA members, to help make having fun, entertaining the kids, and catching up with friends, a little more affordable.

Option 1

Please click the Option 1 button below to book a Saturday 5pm or 6pm session, where your foster child and other family members can jump with us for only $7 per person (normally $19) for 1hour, or $12 per person for 2 hours (normally $27). Bookings must be made online through the Option 1 button below. Please present your FCAWA card and photo identification at check-in. You can also do a 10+ group booking at this price per person, if you’d like to host a birthday jump for your foster child during this session time. Give us a call on 9707 3813 to organise.

Pre book a 1 hour “general jump” session on-line through our standard website (please click on Option 2 button below). Present your FCAWA membership card at check in, along with photo identification and get a free consecutive second hour (saving $12 per jumper).

Please note this offer is subject to availability on the day as we do have capacity limits and guest to staff ratios for your guest experience and safety. During winter - we recommend booking from sessions 12pm onwards to ensure you get the free second hour, or if you have kids below 5yrs of age. 10am and 11am are generally full sessions.

Spectators are free – make a date for catch ups’ with other foster families and have some affordable fun.

For all online bookings, please arrive 15 minutes early so you can start your jump on time, and show your FCAWA membership card and ID at check-in. Bookings without FCAWA membership card will be charged at full price, so please, don’t forget it!. Always check our website for availability and session times.

Learn to jump, flip, tumble – our Trampoline Skillz Academy operates weekdays from 4pm, coaching trampoline or tumbling, from ages 5+ to adult. We’re affiliated with Gymnastics WA, with qualified coaches to teach your kids how to jump safe and learn new skills. Great for improving mental and physical well-being, beneficial for motor and listening skills, builds confidence, fitness levels, fast twitch muscles fibres, bone density, co-ordination, and more - and of course – stimulates a heap of happy hormones! Classes include recreational Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. We also have competitive stream classes with an International High Performance Coach, and a non-competitive Freestyle option for ages 9+.

If you are eligible for Kidsport Fee Assistance, please do apply. In addition, we’ll offer FCAWA members a 10% discount off Academy term fees – taking Kidsport eligible participants’ fees down to a low $30 for a 10 week term. Perth Observatory

The Perth Observatory is Western Australia’s oldest observatory which is located 35 km east of Perth in Bickley. The Observatory has served WA for over 120 years and remains actively involved in the service of public education through Day Tours for schools and Night Sky Tours for the public. In recognition of its scientific, cultural and historical significance, the Observatory was entered on the state’s Heritage Register in 2005.

Bassendean Railway Museum

The Railway Museum at Bassendean is open on Sunday and Wednesday afternoons and houses a large collection of steam and diesel locomotives, carriages, wagons and artifacts relating to the history of railways in Western Australia. Many of the locomotives and carriages are open for inspection and the exhibition building houses many photos and displays. On Sunday afternoons a large model railway pavilion is open for inspection.

Cool drinks and ice creams are available for purchase in the model railway pavilion, and an electric BBQ cook-top is available for public use adjacent to the top lawn shelter.

Rail Heritage WA is pleased to provide a discount on entry to the Railway Museum at Bassendean for members of the Foster Care Association WA. Adults will be charged the normal entry fee, but children being fostered plus biological children of the foster parents will be provided free entry to the Railway Museum. Please note this discount is contingent on the family actually bringing children who are under foster care to the Museum. It does not apply to families without foster children. Rebound Arena

Rebound Arena is a huge indoor Trampoline park in Port Kennedy that offers a great location for the kids and adults alike to experience that gravity defying fun and joy that only a trampoline can give. Their airconditioned centre has over 60 interconnected trampolines including the main court, 3 x slam dunk lanes, giant airbag, tumble runs, 16 person dodgeball court, 6 x high performance trampolines with 3 wall running trampolines. Urban Jungle

Urban Jungle was established to provide a friendly and interactive way to become involved in climbing. It’s a great challenge and an exciting way to get in shape. We offer climbing for children from around 2 years old up to veterans of the sport with years on a rope.

Located on Solomon Road, just off the freeway in Jandakot, Urban Jungle Indoor Rock Climbing offers a wide variety of climbing activities, fitness, functions and birthday parties. We host a brand new building built specifically for climbing, and the latest fit out of City Wall and Walltopia climbing structures. Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk

The Valley of the Giants, in the Walpole-Nornalup National Park, is an iconic region on the south coast of Western Australia located between the towns of Denmark and Walpole. In the heart of the Walpole Wilderness Area, the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk features a stunning walkway positioned 40m above the ground in the spectacular heights of the tingle forest canopy. Designed to immerse you in the forest and leave the eco system untouched, the walk blends seamlessly into its surrounds, inspired by the sword grass and the tassel flower it serves to protect. Suspended effortlessly in the air, the walk moves gently just like the sway of the trees. In a busy world be inspired to stop, reflect, and connect with nature. The 600-metre walk is wheelchair and pram accessible.

A walk trail links the Tree Top Walk to the Ancient Empire, where a wheelchair accessible trail meanders across the forest floor between 400-year-old red tingle trees. With their huge hollowed out trunks, the red tingle trees are just as spectacular when viewed at ground level as they are high up in the forest canopy. This ancient and unique red tingle forest is a must-see experience. Some of the forest plants, including the ancient giant tingle trees, have origins that can be traced back 65 million years to the supercontinent Gondwana when Australia was joined with what are now Africa, India, Antarctic and South America. Much of the plant life in the tingle forest is unique to the south-west of Western Australia, and the tingle trees are endemic to a limited area surrounding the town of Walpole.
